FAQs about Bespoke Wedding Stationery

Designing your dream wedding stationery is a huge task and understandably, it can initially feel a little overwhelming. I’ve had the pleasure of creating bespoke wedding stationery for lots of lovely couples over the years and I appreciate that every couple has unique preferences and styles. No couple is ever the same! But to put your mind at ease and to alleviate the overwhelm, I’ve put together some of my most frequently asked questions so that you know a bit more about what to expect when you book Lauren Daisy Wedding Stationery!

How many invitations (or save the date cards) should I order?

It’s easy to assume that you’ll need to order as many invitations as there are people on your guest list. But don’t forget that you may only need one invitation per household rather than per guest, depending on if you’re inviting plus-ones and/or children. However, I always encourage my couples to order a few extra invitations to use as keepsakes, for last-minute guest additions and for the flat lay shots during the bridal preparation (your photographer will thank you, trust me).

Do I need wedding menus?

It totally depends on the type of wedding catering you’re having. If guests have chosen their meals in advance (such as when they RSVPed), it can be quite helpful to have their chosen menu in their place setting – as many people forget what they’ve ordered. If it’s a set menu or sharing boards, a single menu per table is probably enough. It’s also down to personal preference in terms of style – they can be a beautiful addition to your tables and can add to the overall aesthetic.

When should we send out our invitations?

I’ve put together a whole other blog post about wedding stationery etiquette, so make sure you have a read of that. Save the Date Cards should be sent out around 8 months prior to your wedding, while invitations can be sent out around 4 to 6 months before. This gives your guests enough time to make any necessary arrangements.

Can we change or personalise your collections?

You certainly can – in fact, I love getting creative with my designs so if you’ve fallen in love with a collection but want a few tweaks, I’ll work with you to transform it into the perfect wedding stationery for your love story. I also offer a colour-matching service to make sure your stationery goes hand-in-hand with your theme or colour scheme. Plus, you can amend the wording so that it suits your personal style. Two proofs are included within your quote, allowing you the chance to review and make any changes before the designs are printed. I also offer a bespoke wedding stationery service, where we work closely together to create wedding stationery that is meaningful, beautiful and made just for you. You’ll also have spotted some of my beloved venue illustrations over on my Instagram, but I am also known for my floral illustrations – all of which are hand-drawn!

Is there a minimum order?

I have a minimum order of 30 Save the Date Cards or invitations, but I’ll also work with you to suit your budget and preferences. If you have something specific you’re looking for, just drop me a message and we can chat about it in more detail.

Do you offer on the day wedding stationery?

Absolutely, I offer an array of on-the-day wedding stationery including welcome signs, order of service, name placements, seating plans, reserved seating tags, food & cake menus and much more. I also hire out items including large wooden boards, plinths and floral welcome signs that I can deliver to selected local venues.

Do you send our guests their invitations?

I can indeed! I offer a handy postal service to send out your invitations straight to your friends and family. Alternatively, I can address all your invitations to you so that you can post or deliver yourselves, it’s up to you!

Here at Lauren Daisy Wedding Stationery, I’m all about making sure your experience with me is easy, fun and memorable, so that it contributes towards the magic of your wedding day. If you have any other questions or if you’d like to begin the process, get in touch!
