When do I book my Wedding Stationer?

A question I get asked a lot from couples and my answer to it, is the sooner the better. Wedding suppliers get booked up early and quickly so if there is someone you have in mind for your stationer then get in touch. You want to get booked in to secure your designing time.

However you still need to have a few key things in place before you book your wedding stationer.

You will need your venue or venues, a date for your wedding day and a time, also a registrar. Another key thing you need to think about is your guest list for your numbers and also what information you may need to add into your invitations (check out my other blog}. These numbers will give you a good idea on how many save the dates/ invitations you will need to have and also what extras you will need RSVP, Details Card...

If you are planning on creating Save the Dates for your wedding stationery then I recommend getting in touch with a wedding stationer as soon as you have you date secured with you venue, this will give time for you get your guests excited about your day and let them know to book it in their diaries.

All wedding stationers will be different when they tell you to send out your wedding invitations but I recommend sending them out 6-8 months before your wedding this will give your guests time to book it off work, find childcare, book accommodations and taxis or maybe even flights if your having a destination wedding! When it comes to ordering your on the day stationery for your wedding day then I would get booked in with a wedding stationer when you order invitations because this will secure your date and designing time when it come to your on the day. On the day wedding stationery won't be done until 3-7 weeks before your wedding day as this will give time for you to gather all the information you need including who and how many guests and maybe menu choices if needed.
